We make natural-language data access more reliable
Problem
In 2023, we faced a real problem: 80% of businesses cannot effectively use their own data. Why? Because accessing data requires SQL. Those without SQL depend on analysts, and analysts struggle with repetitive questions.
A store manager waits in the analyst queue to ask "What are the best-selling products this month?" The analyst answers the same question for the tenth time. The data exists, access does not.
Solution
We asked: "What if everyone could converse with their own data?" Ask questions in natural language like ChatGPT? Text-to-SQL tools existed but were unusable with 60–70% accuracy.
We tried a different approach: a validation and learning workflow. Cayra does not only generate SQL; it checks results, incorporates approved corrections, and retains company-specific definitions so recurring analyses become more consistent.
Today
We are in production with our first enterprise customer. We successfully run the end-to-end flow of text-to-SQL conversion, validation, and monitoring on real data.
Our goal is clear: mature and scale the product together and move one step closer to a world where every employee can access data in their own language.
